Our sessions run for 3 hours at Gumnut Gardens, located at 1 East Street, Five Dock, with groups capped at 6 children to ensure personalized attention. Adams Lane Early Intervention Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider, offering NDIS early intervention services tailored for preschoolers in Sydney. We handle invoicing as follows: for plan-managed participants, we send the invoice to your plan manager; self-managed participants receive an invoice to claim from their plan; and for NDIA-managed participants, we claim via the myplace provider portal. Importantly, we do not require families to pay the session fee upfront when the support is funded in the plan. Each child is claimed separately, with the usual support item being: Group Activities – Standard – Saturday 04_104_0136_6_1, which involves assistance with Social, Economic, and Community Participation. The price limit for this item is $103.54 per hour, national rate, effective from 1 July 2026. In our group setting, this rate is shared among the children participating in the session, resulting in approximately $103.54 per child for a 3-hour session with three facilitators. If your plan covers early childhood supports under Improved Daily Living, and our facilitator meets the necessary requirements for that item, we will claim the corresponding early childhood item instead. We will confirm the specific item with you prior to the first session.

SkillSetGo operates as a small preschool-style group, allowing your child to practice skills like separating from you, following the routine, and playing with other children, which is a crucial part of early childhood intervention. A parent or carer should bring them in, help settle their bag, and collect them at the end. Please arrive a few minutes early on the first Saturday so we can meet your child, show you the room, and confirm the goals from the service agreement. Pickup is conveniently at the door, and we will keep you informed about how the session went. Pack a backpack with:
- A change of clothes, including underwear and socks, as play can be messy, and some children may need a spare set after toileting.
- A lunch box containing morning tea and lunch, along with a drink bottle. We do not supply food, so please send items your child already eats, and inform us of any allergies before the first session.
- A hat and a jumper or jacket, as we utilize the outdoor space when the weather allows.
- Nappies or pull-ups, and wipes, if your child still uses them.
- Any comfort item they need for rest or emotional regulation, such as a familiar soft toy—be sure to label it with their name.
It's essential to label everything. We cannot heat food, so send lunch ready to eat. Please note that nuts are not permitted in our program. If your child feels unsettled at drop-off, a brief goodbye works better than staying in the room. You are welcome to call us during the session if you have concerns, and we will contact you immediately if your child needs to be collected. Your plan manager pays our invoice, while self-managed families pay the invoice and claim it back. Sessions are held in Five Dock only; please ignore any older posts that mention Concord. After each Saturday session, you do not need to stay to know how it went. Each week, we email a brief session summary, detailing what your child participated in, what went well, and what we will practice next time. These summaries are written in plain language so you can easily share them with your child's speech pathologist, occupational therapist, or early childhood partner for early childhood intervention. Once a term, or when a plan reassessment is approaching, we prepare a concise progress report against the goals in the service agreement. This report covers participation, social and emotional skills, and school-readiness routines—providing practical notes you can use at home or pass to your plan manager.
